Replit, described as a “vibe-coding sensation,” offers an online platform designed to make software creation approachable for a broad audience. After nine years of development, the company made a controversial shift away from exclusively targeting professional developers and toward non-programmers, a move its CEO credits for its recent traction. In September, Replit reported it was on track for $150 million in annualized revenue. The company has since told Forbes it aims to reach $1 billion in annual recurring revenue by the end of the year. Replit’s valuation has soared from $3 billion in September to $9 billion just six months later. The fresh capital is expected to support further product expansion and community growth, although specific road-map details were not disclosed. Founder and CEO Amjad Masad notes that this momentum follows nearly a decade of steady iteration.
