Reshape Biotech

Østbanegade 55, 1. floor, Copenhagen, 2100, Denmark

Overview

Reshape develops a full‑stack robotic imaging platform — hardware with built‑in incubation, high‑resolution cameras, cloud software and custom AI models — to capture and quantify visual changes in plate‑based experiments. Its pre‑trained models address common experiment types (fungal, bacterial, seeds, insects) and the company also supports customer‑specific model training via an in‑house MLOps stack. The system runs experiments 24/7, increases throughput (customers run four to 10 times as many experiments) and, the company says, reduces false negatives by about 80%. Results are accessible in a cloud interface and exportable to LIMS or CSV for integration with other tools. Reshape sells the platform on a value‑based subscription that bundles hardware, ML and software; it currently ships a single machine size and may expand to larger devices in the future. Customers include Syngenta and the University of Oxford, and Reshape is focused on scaling deployments and repeatable, high‑throughput visual assays. Reshape Biotech provides a vertically integrated hardware, software and microbiology platform that digitizes microbiology experiments and enables virtual, distributed collaboration. The company offers affordable robotic instruments leveraging systems engineering, mechatronics, cloud computing and machine-learning based data analysis to capture experimental data and eliminate redundant processes. Reshape serves customers in food, agriculture, ingredients development and industrial biotech, currently supporting 20 customers with 100% retention. Since 2021 the firm has grown its robotic fleet from one to 110 and reported 10x revenue growth and 300% year-over-year growth. Headquartered in Copenhagen and founded in 2018, Reshape distributes equipment across Europe and the U.S. and plans to open a location in North America while scaling its robotic fleet by 100x in the coming years.
