Overview
Robocorp provides an open-source process automation stack built on Robot Framework and Python for building, deploying and managing software robots. It offers a cloud-native orchestration platform—Robocorp Control Room (formerly Robocorp Cloud)—and has launched a self-managed Control Room for private-cloud or on-premises deployment. The self-managed option targets ISVs, robot-as-a-service providers and enterprises that require data residency, governance, SSO and Kubernetes support, and includes integrations with Active Directory, Okta and Auth0, unlimited storage, and customizable infrastructure options. Robocorp says its technology has been adopted by over 5,000 developers; Robocorp Cloud was adopted by 1,000+ organizations within six months and hundreds of thousands of bot processes have been deployed. The company emphasizes a developer-friendly, vendor-lock-in free approach with free open-source tools and a consumption-based pricing model. Robocorp also operates a partner program with more than 60 partners across 15 countries to expand into sectors such as healthcare, finance and government. Robocorp is focused on changing Robotic Process Automation (RPA). It aims to make RPA accessible to everyone through license-free open source technologies. Those technologies are delivered from a cloud platform. The company announced it has closed a $5.4 million round of funding. That funding came from its existing investors Benchmark, Slow Ventures, and firstminute Capital. Robocorp is based in San Francisco, CA. RoboCorp Technologies is building a cloud-based platform that enables license-free, open-source robotic process automation using Robot Framework. The company’s mission is to disrupt RPA licensing and delivery models by removing high license costs and solving the infrastructure challenges around open-source RPA. RoboCorp aims to enable efficient development and secure global deployment of RPA solutions via its cloud platform. The startup plans to operate from both San Francisco and Helsinki and pilot its platform with early partners. CEO Antti Karjalainen will transition from Siili Solutions to lead RoboCorp full-time. Financially, RoboCorp has received a seed investment from Siili Solutions, which will be a minor shareholder and first pilot customer.
