Rupifi began in mid-2020 as a B2B buy-now-pay-later product focused on digital marketplaces and has since expanded its offering to provide end-to-end B2B payment solutions. The company integrates via APIs and SDKs to create seamless experiences for marketplaces and financial institutions. Rupifi serves over 24 online marketplaces and caters to roughly 70,000 small businesses across sectors including FMCG, pharmaceuticals, fashion, electronics, agriculture and food. Its platform powers marquee partners such as Flipkart Wholesale, Retailio, and Fynd. The company reported 50% month-on-month growth in disbursals over the past 12 months, indicating accelerating usage and demand. Management has stated plans to expand beyond digital marketplaces to address offline and traditional B2B supply chains in India. Rupifi is an Indian embedded finance company focused on B2B payments, offering B2B Buy Now Pay Later, SME-focused commercial cards, loans, working capital, and payment services. The platform provides fully digital touchpoints and real-time decisioning across onboarding, application decisions, transactions, and repayment reconciliations. Marketplaces and financial institutions integrate with Rupifi via APIs and SDKs. Rupifi serves more than 50,000 SMEs and reported 50% month-over-month growth in disbursals over the prior 12 months. It works with marketplaces including Flipkart Wholesale, Retailio, and Fynd. The company plans to leverage analytics and data-based insights to improve credit decisioning and SME experience as it builds toward disrupting B2B payments. Rupifi offers an instant, flexible credit product that enables small businesses to buy inventory and goods online with no-EMI repayment options. The company’s core product, Buy Now, Pay Flexibly, is embedded into B2B marketplaces to provide point-of-transaction credit. Rupifi plans to expand its offering to more SMEs across different marketplaces and deepen partnerships with financial institutions. Management says it prefers a balanced mix of equity and debt to fund growth, product development, and expansion in embedded finance. The startup reported a 2X increase in spends from SMEs using its platform over the last six months. Founded in 2020 and based in Bengaluru, Rupifi is targeting stronger limits from banks and NBFCs to support scale. Rupifi operates a buy-now-pay-flexibly platform that provides flexible payment solutions for micro, small, and medium enterprises. The company plans to use the new capital to expand its product offerings, increase partnerships, and scale up its team. Rupifi raised $4.1 million in a pre-Series A round to support those growth plans. The round was led by fintech and inclusion-focused Quona Capital, with participation from Ankur Capital and Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal. Rupifi previously raised an undisclosed pre-seed round that included investors such as BharatPe’s Ashneer Grover, Cred’s Kunal Shah, Livspace’s Ramakant Sharma, Better Capital, and AngelList Syndicate Cloud Capital. The company was set up last year by Anubhav Jain, Ankit Singh, and Jawaid Iqbal and is based in New Delhi.
