Overview
Saagie provides a smart big-data processing platform as both a SaaS and on-premise solution that leverages AI to speed development of business applications. The platform offers pre-integrated open source blocks for collecting, analyzing and processing large enterprise data. It is massively used in the bank and insurance industry. The company was founded in 2013 by CEO Arnaud Muller and is based in Petit-Quevilly, France, with offices in Paris and San Francisco. Saagie intends to use recent funding to continue improving the product and to expand its business internationally, including plans to open in NYC. The company recently completed a €5M Series A+ financing to support those efforts. Saagie provides a big-data platform designed to help businesses tap into and operationalize large-scale data and analytics. The company serves enterprise clients including Vente‑privee.com, Johnson & Johnson, Ferrero, Caisse d’Épargne Normandie, BudgetBox and Bouygues Énergies & Services. For Vente‑privee.com Saagie has optimized the product recommendation engine; with Bouygues it is working to improve availability and maintenance of industrial equipment. Saagie was launched in 2013 and previously raised €850,000 in summer 2015 from earlier backers. The startup recently hired Jerome Trédan, formerly of Microsoft, as Vice President of Marketing and Sales to restructure sales and marketing. The new funding is earmarked to accelerate international growth and to further develop the company’s artificial intelligence technology and product.
