Overview
Sensorfact offers a platform and hardware sensors that monitor electricity, gas, water, and compressed air usage alongside predictive maintenance solutions for manufacturers. The company began as an energy management solution and has since expanded its product suite to cover a broader set of resource categories. Led by CEO Pieter Broekema, Sensorfact serves over 1,300 clients across 40+ countries and has expanded to four offices. The company plans to use the new funding to enter new markets and optimize its current product suite. Its roadmap includes expanding the range of resource categories measured to better serve industrial businesses on a global scale. The article does not disclose revenue or other financial metrics beyond the fundraising. Founded in 2016 and based in Utrecht, Sensorfact offers a plug-and-play Intelligent Energy Management System combining measuring hardware, industry-specific algorithms and software to give industrial SMEs detailed insight into electricity, gas and water use. Its solution identifies energy savings and is complemented by energy experts who help with implementation. The company has recorded cumulative savings of around 100 GWh, equivalent to the annual energy consumption of more than 30,000 households. Sensorfact serves more than 600 customers across over 25 European countries and currently employs over 70 people. The company plans to broaden its sensor portfolio to include steam, temperature and vibration sensors for predictive maintenance to provide a more comprehensive picture of consumption. The new funding will be used for further product development and expansion into the DACH region, supported by a recently opened Berlin office.
