Korys is the name chosen by the Colruyt family for their investment structure. The name Korys is derived from the Latin word for hazelnut tree – Corylus - which is at the origin of the Colruyt name. Their multi-disciplinary approach enables us to create a well-balanced, diversified portfolio of listed stocks and bonds, private equity funds, and direct participations in small and medium-sized companies. Through their investments, they aim to make a positive impact on people and the planet, while generating attractive returns. Commit Biologics develops therapies that activate the complement system to kill specific target cells, with applications in cancer and autoimmune disease. Its core product is the Bispecific Complement Engaging (BiCE™) platform, a modular system that can arm antibodies to direct the complement system to selectively kill cancer cells or immune cells that drive autoimmune diseases. The platform is designed to leverage established antibodies, which the company says can cut development times and reduce risk. Commit plans to use the €16M seed financing to accelerate development of the BiCE™ platform. The company was spun out of Aarhus University and builds on more than three decades of research into complement biology. Commit is led by CEO Krishna Polu.     OroraTech operates a Wildfire Solution platform that ingests high-resolution thermal data from proprietary and public satellites to deliver real-time situational awareness and risk alerts. The company designs and operates nano-satellites and data pipelines to detect fires day or night and convert raw thermal data into actionable intelligence. It currently has ten satellites in orbit and a team of more than 140, and operates across Germany, the US, Australia, Brazil, Canada and Greece. OroraTech aims to deliver the world’s most persistent and comprehensive thermal data stream and to create a global “wildfire digital twin” capable of simulating future fire behavior. In the past year the company has signed close to €100 million in commercial contracts and venture capital, and recently extended its Series B financing. OroraTech develops space-based wildfire intelligence using thermal-infrared imaging satellites and analytics to offer near-real-time monitoring of at-risk lands. The company currently operates two of its own satellites and monitors about 160 million hectares of forest. It initially used data from dozens of other imaging satellites and terrestrial sources but now relies on its own sensors and plans an initial constellation of eight satellites by mid-2025. OroraTech has commercial deployments watching properties and lands in North America and the Pacific and secured a €20 million ESA contract to monitor Greece’s forests. The additional data they collect is intended to improve their predictive AI and overall service quality. The company recently raised a €25M (≈$27M) Series B to expand its sensor network and accelerate product development; FOREST-3 is expected to launch in early 2025. OroraTech builds and operates space-based thermal‑infrared cameras that deliver data in long‑wave infrared (LWIR) and medium‑wave infrared (MWIR) bands. Its LWIR sensors capture ambient temperatures while MWIR enables detection of very hot objects such as fires. The company’s first product, the Wildfire Intelligence Solution, detects over 100,000 fires each day and protects more than 160 million hectares across six continents. OroraTech plans to use the new funding to expand its climate solutions portfolio and to launch a second thermal‑infrared camera in space in May 2023. Headquartered in Munich, the company expanded its footprint in 2022 with experts in the US, Canada, and Luxembourg. The team is led by CEO Thomas Grübler. OroraTech develops a space-based wildfire warning system using small satellites equipped with custom infrared cameras and onboard machine-learning processing. With new funding it will launch a shoebox-sized satellite carrying a custom IR sensor via Spire later this year and plans 14 more satellites by 2023. The company ultimately aims for a constellation of about 100 satellites to provide near-global coverage of high-risk regions. OroraTech was spun out of research by its founders at TUM, which retains an interest.

PanTera plans to bring its commercial production facility online in Belgium, funded in part by the recent raise.
