ZuriQ, spun out of ETH Zürich by Dr Pavel Hrmo, Dr Tobias Sägesser and Dr Shreyans Jain, has developed a native two-dimensional trapped-ion architecture that combines electric and static magnetic fields to allow ions to move and connect in two and three dimensions. The company has demonstrated a working 3×3 array of nine individually controlled ions — the largest two-dimensional array of its kind to date — built in collaboration with ETH Zürich and fabricated with partner Infineon. ZuriQ says its architecture is designed to scale qubit counts with chip area, targeting a path toward hundreds to thousands of qubits on a single chip. The company developed its demonstrator in 18 months and has expanded its headcount from four to eighteen since its last funding. With the recent $25.5 million seed raise (following a $4.2 million pre-seed in 2025), ZuriQ plans to accelerate hiring, R&D, and industrial-scale chip fabrication to move toward commercially useful machines.

Innoseis develops MEMS sensor chips that detect minimal vibrations and movement for applications including navigation, bodemonderzoek (soil research), and space missions. The company originated from research at Nikhef and was founded in 2020 by Mark Beker and Jo van den Brand. Its sensors are already being used by Fleet Space Technologies for measurements on the moon. QuantWare develops modular quantum processors built on its proprietary VIO architecture and has introduced the VIO-40K design aimed at higher qubit capacity. Rocsys builds hands-free charging and depot service solutions for electric and autonomous vehicle fleets, combining soft robotics, AI-driven computer vision and motion intelligence. Its newly announced M1 is an overhead rail-mounted, multi-bay charging system that can serve up to 10 bays from a single system and is interoperable across EVs, chargers and connector types. The M1 is currently in pilot deployment with large-scale rollout planned across North America and Europe in 2027, and the company says it can deliver up to a 75% productivity increase in depot operations and up to $1.7 million in annual savings at scale. Rocsys reports a 99.9%+ plug-in success rate in live environments and cites more than six years of real-world data and edge-case training underpinning its performance. The company's technology portfolio is supported by 130+ granted patents and pending applications and is already used in demanding environments such as ports. Financially, Rocsys has raised a total of $56M to date following the $13M Series A extension announced with participation from strategic investors including Capricorn Partners and Scania Invest.
