SESAMm

7 Boulevard Solidarité, Metz, Île-de-France, 57000, France

Overview

Sesamm provides an NLP-driven platform (flagship product: TextReveal) that ingests and analyzes textual data from news portals, NGO reports and social networks to surface ESG, reputational and risk insights. Customers can access the service via an API or a web dashboard with visualizations, alerts and system integrations for use cases such as supply-chain monitoring, due diligence and share-of-voice analysis. The company applies its models to a 20 billion-article data lake spanning 100+ languages and fine-tunes pre-trained large language models on its annotated datasets. Notable clients include Carlyle Group, Natixis, Tokio Marine and Unigestion, and some investors in the recent round are also customers. Sesamm faces competition from well-funded players such as AlphaSense, Dataminr and FactSet/Truvalue Labs. The company raised €35 million in its latest round to support international expansion, particularly into the U.S. and Asian markets. SESAMm develops analytics and investment signals by analysing billions of web articles and messages with natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning. Its products include the NLP platform TextReveal and the quantitative data‑science platform SignalReveal, which address the alpha research value chain. The company serves major hedge funds, banks and asset-management clients and counts The Carlyle Group among customers that moved from pilot to scale. SESAMm was founded in 2014 and has a team of more than 50 people across offices in Paris, New York, Tokyo, Tunis and Metz. Recent hires and board advisors have been added to support strategic decision‑making and North American expansion. The company plans to use new capital to grow headcount, expand in Europe, Asia and North America, continue R&D in ML/NLP, develop AI-enabled research tools and dashboards, and enter private-equity deal sourcing and portfolio management use cases.
