Signal AI develops a market intelligence and information discovery platform that ingests unstructured data from news, social media, and other online sources to give clients actionable, real-time insights. The system currently tracks more than 75,000 online news outlets, 3.5 million blogs, and 100 social networks, leveraging predictive analytics to surface relevant information for business decision-makers. Led by CEO David Benigson, the company positions itself as a next-generation alternative to traditional media monitoring services. In conjunction with its newest financing, Signal is partnering with Roxhill Media, the new venture of lead investor Alex Northcott. The fresh capital will be used to expand operations and further scale the platform. Prior to this round, the startup had secured a $1.85 million seed round in April 2015.
