Snaptrude offers a modern, cloud-based software suite for architects, designers, developers and contractors to design and build buildings in a collaborative, interoperable environment in real time. Snaptrude provides a cloud-native, browser-based 3D design tool for the AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) industry that enables real-time collaboration similar to Google Docs. The platform supports common file formats (DWG, RVT, IFC, SKP, FBX, PDF, OBJ), offers a freemium model, and generates real-time data on cost, climate and energy impacts as designs change. The company positions itself as a modern alternative to legacy BIM solutions like Autodesk Revit, targeting interoperability and lower hardware requirements. Snaptrude began as a prototype in 2017 and received initial funding of $1.2M in early 2018 to build the team and product. It has attracted over 6,000 customers across more than 30 countries and operates with a globally distributed workforce of 35, including geometry engineers and mathematicians. The startup plans to use recent funds for product enhancements, modest engineering hires, and broader market growth.
