Overview
SpaceFill operates a warehousing cloud that connects 1,500 third-party warehouses via a single orchestration layer that acts as a control tower for inventory and logistics. The company focuses exclusively on B2B logistics (not e‑commerce fulfillment) and offers services like cross-docking and elastic storage capacity to handle seasonality. Its platform enables warehouse partners to allocate spare space to SpaceFill customers while still serving their own clients. SpaceFill serves about 500 customers, including Ikea, Angell Bike and Leroy Merlin, and currently has 60 employees. The company generates more than €10 million in revenue and plans to hire another 80 employees to improve its platform and expand its network. SpaceFill is a Paris-based platform that lets companies find, book and manage temporary storage facilities. Founded in June 2018, the company has enabled more than 100 European companies to access 1,500 warehouses across France. The platform allows users to activate or deactivate outsourced storage spaces online, remotely control them, and integrate them with existing software tools. That scalable storage infrastructure helps customers temporarily store goods, respond to emergencies, better distribute inventory geographically, reduce shipping time and cost, and expand without long-term commitments. The startup raised €1 million five months after launching from German fund La Famiglia alongside business angels including Xavier Niel and Michael Benabou. SpaceFill aims to digitise warehouses and develop the largest flexible storage network in Europe.
