Overview
StackAI provides a platform that enables enterprises to create custom AI agents which interact with data sources and systems such as SharePoint, Snowflake, Salesforce, and Confluence. Its agents are deployed for tasks including knowledge management, data entry, content aggregation, and information categorization, and can run on-premises or in virtual private clouds. Since launching in April 2023 the company has grown to a 13-person team with hires from MIT, Meta AI, NASA, BCG Gamma, and IBM, and now serves hundreds of organizations including Fortune 500 companies, banks, hospitals, and universities. The platform supports 30+ LLM providers and 100+ data connectors while maintaining SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA, and GDPR compliance. StackAI plans to use the funding to expand operations and development, improve agent retrieval quality, broaden LLM tool access, and ensure secure deployments in any environment. The company emphasizes privacy, reliability, and efficiency in its solutions. Stack AI offers a low-code workflow canvas that lets customers drag components (data sources, triggers, actions, and LLMs) together to build AI-driven automations without heavy engineering. The platform focuses on connecting data sources to language models to enable complex business process automation, with source citations included in answers for traceability. The founders launched the company out of Y Combinator's Winter 23 cohort after graduating from MIT and moved to San Francisco to refine the product. Stack has had a working product for six months and reports more than 200 customers. The company has six employees and is hiring engineers as well as sales and marketing professionals. Financially, Stack AI has raised $3 million so far and closed that investment about a year ago.
