12 Broad Street Suite 403, Red Bank, New Jersey, 07701, United States
Overview
SUN Behavioral Health operates freestanding psychiatric hospitals that provide inpatient and outpatient care, psychiatric and substance-abuse programs, and specialized services for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. The company partners with medical and surgical centers, physicians, schools and community organizations to deliver a seamless continuum of personalized care and emphasizes strong clinical staff-to-patient ratios for more therapy time. SUN opened a 148‑bed behavioral health hospital in the Texas Medical Center in Houston in January 2016, and three additional hospitals totaling 431 beds are scheduled to open in Columbus, OH; Northern Kentucky (Greater Cincinnati); and Georgetown, DE. SUN operates 24/7 assessment and admissions departments and offers tailored programs by age, gender and acuity. The company received a $34 million growth capital investment announced by LLR Partners, with existing investors including HealthInvest, NewSpring Capital, Petra Capital Partners and SV Life Sciences also participating. Leadership, led by President and CEO Steve Page, says the company plans to build out a network of hospitals to address unmet regional behavioral-health needs.
