SuperGround Oy is a Finnish food-technology company with a patented processing technology that transforms undervalued fish and poultry side streams into high-protein ingredients for consumer products such as nuggets, patties and burgers. Its approach is designed to help food producers lower costs, reduce waste and increase protein content while maintaining taste and scalability. The company secured an additional €1.15M extension, bringing recent funding to €3.65M, a signal of investor confidence in a tougher FoodTech funding environment. The extension round was led by CHECK24 Impact (Germany) and Propeller Ventures (US), following earlier backing from Hatch Blue Revolution Fund. SuperGround plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate commercialization, beginning with a partnership with Sweden’s Ocean Next AB. Production and launch of sustainable seafood products across the Nordics will be driven via Ocean Next and Korshags Food AB, with production in Falkenberg.
