Founded in 2014 and shifted to a B2B model in 2017, the company emphasizes a modular platform that can be integrated or run standalone and includes an "insurance product creator" for insurers. Telemedico says 2020 was a record year with one million consultations in a 12-month period, more than 900,000 patients to date, over 600 doctors on the platform, and 2.5 million total appointments; it reports over 100,000 consultations per month and projects 250,000 by end of 2021. The business has grown 3x year-over-year since 2018 and is active in 14 markets, supporting consultations in 10 languages with plans to add more.
