The Deployment Company is a joint venture controlled by OpenAI and backed by 19 investors including major private equity firms and strategic partners. It is structured to combine OpenAI’s software with the distribution and portfolio access of private equity participants to accelerate enterprise AI deployment. The joint venture was valued at $10.0 billion before the new investment and raised over $4.0 billion in the reported transaction. Named investors include TPG, Brookfield Asset Management, Advent, Bain Capital, Dragoneer and SoftBank, alongside several consultancies. The firm aims to leverage the investors’ access to more than 2,000 companies to drive adoption of OpenAI’s tools.
