The Deployment Company is a joint venture controlled by OpenAI and backed by 19 investors including major private equity firms and strategic partners. It is structured to combine OpenAI’s software with the distribution and portfolio access of private equity participants to accelerate enterprise AI deployment. The joint venture was valued at $10.0 billion before the new investment and raised over $4.0 billion in the reported transaction. Named investors include TPG, Brookfield Asset Management, Advent, Bain Capital, Dragoneer and SoftBank, alongside several consultancies. The firm aims to leverage the investors’ access to more than 2,000 companies to drive adoption of OpenAI’s tools. • Synera

    Participated · Series B · Apr 2026

Synera provides an agentic AI platform that connects and orchestrates more than 80 CAx and proprietary engineering tools to automate complex product development workflows and execute end-to-end engineering tasks. The platform can be deployed on-premises to preserve data security and integrate with existing systems without disrupting legacy infrastructure. Synera says its AI agents accelerate development cycles by up to 10x while reducing complexity, costs, and material usage, and the platform is adopted by customers including NASA, BMW, Airbus, Volvo Trucks, and Hyundai. The company serves over 60 enterprise customers across 15 countries and reported doubling annual recurring revenue in 2025, with 60% of new business driven by its AI offering. Founded in 2018 in Bremen, Germany, Synera is scaling internationally with plans to expand across the U.S., APAC, and Europe and to build a dedicated team in France. The company is positioning itself to establish the category standard for agentic R&D across aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, and industrial engineering.

  • Leanspace

    Participated · Series A · Nov 2025

Founded in 2020, Leanspace has built a modular software platform covering satellite monitoring & control, mission planning, ground-segment orchestration and hardware testing. The system is already flight-proven and used by more than 20 commercial operators, including Quantum Space, Look Up and Clearspace. In 2024 the company began targeting enterprise and institutional customers and has since signed seven contracts with organizations such as Airbus Defence & Space, Hispasat and the European Space Agency. Leanspace now serves six market segments spanning small satellites, constellations, in-orbit service vehicles, launchers & spaceports, large satellites and ground-station networks. The company positions its open, customizable platform as the backbone for secure, agile and cost-efficient “software-defined” satellite operations. With fresh backing from strategic aerospace and IT partners, Leanspace plans to expand in Europe and North America, offer turnkey mission-operations systems and build an ecosystem of satellite manufacturers, cloud providers and space-services firms around its technology.

  • blackshark.ai

    Participated · Series A · Nov 2023

Blackshark.ai created a digital twin of Earth and sells tools that let users interpret and act on orbital and aerial imagery. Its new product, Orca Huntr, is a no-code, scribble-driven interface that lets users quickly build and refine object-detection models from imagery. The company was born out of the gaming industry and emphasizes a platform that digests widely varying data sources and epochs. Blackshark.ai has exclusive access to Maxar’s satellite archive, which it uses to train and contextualize models. Customers range from governments, scientists and military users to real-estate developers and industrial clients; many ask the company to verticalize the service into end-to-end solutions. The team says the model can generalize beyond orbital imagery to domains like medical or microscopic industrial imagery and is exploring OEM introductions. The company will make Orca Huntr available to paying customers on December 4, and declined to provide pricing details. Blackshark.ai is an Austrian startup that converts widely available 2D imagery into accurate, traversable 3D reconstructions using machine learning and large-scale computing. Its technology powered the fully traversable globe in Microsoft’s Flight Simulator and can extrapolate building geometry by analysing context such as neighborhood type and roof characteristics. The company has accelerated its 2D-to-3D processing from about a month of computation to roughly three days—an approximately 300x improvement. Blackshark.ai positions its product as a searchable surface of the planet for use cases including climate modeling, disaster relief, smart cities, autonomous industries, and AR/VR. With the new funding it plans to hire more engineers and researchers and to scale commercial operations by building sales, support, and other pieces required for hyperscaling. Financially, the company raised a $20 million Series A to develop and scale its replica-Earth technology.

  • AgDataHub

    Participated · Equity · Jan 2023

Agdatahub provides two flagship solutions: Agritrust, a farmer consent management tool built on an agricultural digital identity (available as a paid subscription for service providers and a free mobile app for farmers), and API‑Agro, a multi‑stream data exchange platform acting as a trusted third party. The company also offers operational consulting under its Capdata activity to implement concrete data use cases for the sector. Agdatahub was founded and co‑financed by the agricultural sector since 2020 and aims to strengthen digital and food sovereignty by structuring data circulation from farm to table. It plans to massify uses of agricultural data in a sovereign, trusted framework and to support use cases such as chain traceability, carbon and environmental labelling. Operating metrics cited include a target to connect 380,000 farms with 85,000 partners in France and an API‑Agro platform launched in 2019 with more than 2,000 subscribers. The company positions its products to comply with European rules on non‑personal data (Data Governance Act and the Data Act under discussion).
