Overview
The Avril Group was born of a collective approach. It was set up in 1983 at the initiative of farmers in order to develop the French production of oilseeds (rapeseed, sunflower, olive, soybean, etc.) and protein crops (pea, field bean, lupin, etc.). By federating all actors in these sectors and developing markets for their production, in a little more than 30 years Avril has become a major industrial and financial group.

Agdatahub provides two flagship solutions: Agritrust, a farmer consent management tool built on an agricultural digital identity (available as a paid subscription for service providers and a free mobile app for farmers), and API‑Agro, a multi‑stream data exchange platform acting as a trusted third party. The company also offers operational consulting under its Capdata activity to implement concrete data use cases for the sector. Agdatahub was founded and co‑financed by the agricultural sector since 2020 and aims to strengthen digital and food sovereignty by structuring data circulation from farm to table. It plans to massify uses of agricultural data in a sovereign, trusted framework and to support use cases such as chain traceability, carbon and environmental labelling. Operating metrics cited include a target to connect 380,000 farms with 85,000 partners in France and an API‑Agro platform launched in 2019 with more than 2,000 subscribers. The company positions its products to comply with European rules on non‑personal data (Data Governance Act and the Data Act under discussion).
