Uman positions this workflow to increase conversion rates, efficiency and cross-sell opportunities. Several Western European customers already use the agent, including Proximus, msg global and DPG Media, and the company reports customers in the Netherlands and Germany. The founders, Charles Boutens (CEO) and Sven Degroote (CTO), say the company will focus on Europe while aiming to expand to the US. The company has raised €1.9 million in the described funding round to support scaling, team growth and product development. uman.ai builds a workforce knowledge base that maps the skills and interests of employees using deep-learning algorithms. The platform gives management an overview of team knowledge and aims to help employees gain greater insight into their competencies. The company positions the product as a way to reduce turnover caused by poor task-skill and interest matches. uman.ai has raised €500,000 to develop a go-to-market strategy and also received innovation grants from VLAIO. Investors named in the round include imec.istart, Skyhaus, and Roel Naessens.
