Uplift

440 N. Wolfe Road, Sunnyvale, New York, 94085, United States

Overview

UpLift delivers evidence-based, virtual-first psychotherapy and psychiatry via a team-based care model that integrates mental and physical health. The company partners with national and regional health plans to provide insurance-based behavioral healthcare and currently accepts most major commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans, including national agreements with UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, and Cigna. UpLift serves individuals 13 and older, as well as couples and families, in Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia and the District of Columbia; patients can book their first appointment online in less than two days on average. Built at Redesign Health and founded in 2020, UpLift uses purpose-built software to match patients with the right team of providers. The company plans to expand into additional states and scale its model to enable thousands of behavioral healthcare providers to accept insurance for the first time. UpLift is a vertically integrated mental healthcare delivery platform that starts with in-network, virtual or in-person therapists and integrates psychiatry and medication as supplemental support to create comprehensive care plans. The company leads with psychotherapy and coordinates care among psychotherapists, psychiatrists and primary care providers to close behavioral healthcare gaps. Its platform also handles insurance and billing and supports prescription fulfillment to streamline the patient experience. UpLift launched in May 2021 in DC and VA with BCBS CareFirst as its first health plan partner, has expanded into Maryland, and has partnered with United/Optum, Cigna and BCBS Anthem. The company plans to more than double its geographic footprint in 2022 and is expanding its hybrid model services to include psychiatric treatments. UpLift raised capital recently to support that expansion and continued buildout of its integrated-care infrastructure.
