  • Zeta

    Led · Equity · Feb 2025

Zeta provides cloud-native banking software and modules for core banking, payment processing, fraud detection, and customer engagement. The company serves 25 million accounts on its platform and has contracts to add another 25 million. Its flagship customer in India is HDFC Bank; other customers include Pluxee and U.S.-based Sparrow Financial. The U.S. is Zeta’s biggest market and the company generates more than $50 million in annual revenue in India. Zeta has invested about $400 million in its platform since inception and employs roughly 1,700 people across the U.S., Middle East and Asia. Management expects to become profitable by March 2026 and aims to capture 25% market share over the next decade. Zeta builds a cloud-native Omni Stack that bundles card processing, loans (BNPL and personal loan management), deposits (DDA/core banking) and a white‑label mobile app into a single platform. Its Tachyon suite includes Tachyon Credit (credit, debit and prepaid processing with card controls and personal finance management), Tachyon Loans (BNPL and personal loan management), Tachyon Deposits (core for checking and savings) and Tachyon Mobile (customizable mobile app). The company serves over 10 banks and 25 fintechs across eight countries, counting Sodexo and HDFC Bank among customers. Co-founded in April 2015 by Bhavin Turakhia and Ramki Gaddipati, Zeta employs over 750 people across offices in the US, UK, Middle East and Asia. The business recently raised $250M at a $1.45B valuation, one of the largest single investments in a banking tech startup globally. Zeta says it will use the proceeds to accelerate growth in the United States and Europe and to scale its operations, team and platform. Zeta offers a full-stack, cloud-native neo-banking platform that enables issuance of credit, debit and prepaid products and a suite of enterprise solutions for corporates (automated cafeteria, employee gifting, rewards and recognition). The company began in 2015 in the digital meal benefit market and has expanded into cloud banking and digital payments for banks and fintechs. Zeta’s platform is used by RBL Bank, IDFC First Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank, serves 14,000 corporate firms and over two million users. Management plans to broaden the cloud banking platform and digital payments solutions across the US, UK, Europe and South‑East Asia and expand operations to 7–10 countries in the next 18 months. Zeta intends to double its engineering team with 200 new hires and invest in AI, ML and predictive analytics to enhance its product offering. The company has been founder-funded to date, with co‑founders Bhavin Turakhia and Ramki Gaddipati having collectively invested $40 million prior to this round.

  • Uplift

    Participated · Equity · Dec 2021

UpLift delivers evidence-based, virtual-first psychotherapy and psychiatry via a team-based care model that integrates mental and physical health. The company partners with national and regional health plans to provide insurance-based behavioral healthcare and currently accepts most major commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans, including national agreements with UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, and Cigna. UpLift serves individuals 13 and older, as well as couples and families, in Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia and the District of Columbia; patients can book their first appointment online in less than two days on average. Built at Redesign Health and founded in 2020, UpLift uses purpose-built software to match patients with the right team of providers. The company plans to expand into additional states and scale its model to enable thousands of behavioral healthcare providers to accept insurance for the first time. UpLift is a vertically integrated mental healthcare delivery platform that starts with in-network, virtual or in-person therapists and integrates psychiatry and medication as supplemental support to create comprehensive care plans. The company leads with psychotherapy and coordinates care among psychotherapists, psychiatrists and primary care providers to close behavioral healthcare gaps. Its platform also handles insurance and billing and supports prescription fulfillment to streamline the patient experience. UpLift launched in May 2021 in DC and VA with BCBS CareFirst as its first health plan partner, has expanded into Maryland, and has partnered with United/Optum, Cigna and BCBS Anthem. The company plans to more than double its geographic footprint in 2022 and is expanding its hybrid model services to include psychiatric treatments. UpLift raised capital recently to support that expansion and continued buildout of its integrated-care infrastructure.

  • HEALTH[at]SCALE Technologies

    Led · Series A · May 2019

Health at Scale applies machine learning to precision delivery—matching patients to the right treatments, providers, and timing—to drive better clinical outcomes and fewer post‑treatment complications. The founders bring both medical and engineering expertise; CEO Zeeshan Syed leads the company and Mohammed Saeed serves as chief medical officer (MD from Harvard, PhD in electrical engineering from MIT). The company says its solution is already being used by large hospital systems and insurer customers but did not name those clients or disclose underlying data sources. Health at Scale reports it has studied outcomes and that its models produced better results, though it has not provided supporting data. Founded in 2015, the company currently has 11 employees. It plans to use the new funding to build out sales and marketing and expand its customer base among payers, providers, and self‑insured employers.
