Verkada operates a physical-security platform that spans 2.4 million connected devices across cameras, access control, alarms, sensors, and intercoms deployed at about 30,000 organizations in 170 countries. The company is integrating NVIDIA's Cosmos family of foundation models and the Physical AI Data Factory synthetic-data tooling to improve video search and other AI capabilities. Verkada reported a 68% improvement in mean average precision (mAP) for spatial-temporal video-search queries since beginning the work with NVIDIA. It has surpassed $1 billion in annualized bookings and completed a late-2025 funding round at a $5.8 billion valuation led by CapitalG. The recent NVIDIA investment was undisclosed in size and announced alongside the technical partnership. Verkada has previously faced security concerns, including a 2021 breach of its camera feeds, a point noted in coverage of the new collaboration.
