The firm operates a seven-person Dublin headquarters and a UK subsidiary in Gateshead with four full-time employees, and it plans to hire 10 more in the coming year. It recently raised funding to support the extension of its HEAT product into the offshore wind sector. VRAI develops virtual reality simulation training for hazardous work environments, combining VR, AI and IoT to create more authentic and measurable simulations. The company focuses on building both hard- and soft-skills training and capturing behavioural insights from generated data. VRAI says those insights can help save lives in hazardous environments and reports a spike in demand since the onset of the pandemic. Clients have included the Irish Defence Forces, IAG at Heathrow Airport and the United Nations in Somalia. Founded in 2016 and based in Dublin, VRAI is positioning an enterprise-ready remote VR simulation training platform to meet reduced travel and limited physical interaction. It has secured seed funding to expand its VR simulation training offerings for enterprise.
