Vyoma GmbH
Karl-Theodor-Straße 55, Munich, Bayern, 80803, Germany
Overview
Vyoma develops space object monitoring systems and automated satellite-operations capabilities, currently relying on ground-based systems. The company is building next-generation sensor technology and plans to launch its first space-based assets in early 2025. It is constructing an initial pair of satellites with EnduroSat, each carrying optical payloads and onboard image processing to deliver near real-time actionable data. Those capabilities are intended to support services such as close approach detection and collision-avoidance automation. The latest €5 million funding will be used to accelerate sensor development and to bolster the team. The injection brings Vyoma’s total funding to over €16 million. Vyoma builds space situational awareness (SSA) and space traffic management (STM) services using ground-based and forthcoming space-based data to enable automated satellite operations. Its offerings include detection of close approaches between satellites and debris, optimisation of manoeuvres, and end-to-end automation to reduce mission costs. The company plans to deploy a fleet of space-based telescopes capable of monitoring objects down to a few centimeters across low‑Earth to geostationary orbits, with first units slated for launch in 2024. Vyoma is partnering with various Safran branches to further develop sensor technologies for that telescope system. The company intends to use the funds to strengthen its team, expand its customer base and solidify its market position. Vyoma was founded in August 2020 and operates from Munich, Germany.
