Waynabox is a Valencia-based startup that offers surprise travel experiences. The company markets mystery trips where customers buy curated, surprise itineraries. The newly raised funds are intended to accelerate expansion in Spain and internationally, with a particular push into France planned for September. Waynabox closed a €1.2 million financing led by JME Venture Capital. Other participants in the round included Bankinter Capital Riesgo, media-for-equity firm Media Digital Ventures, the Marjal real-estate group and the Palladium hotel group. Founders Pau Sendra, Ferran Blanché and Daniel Jiménez will retain the majority of the company’s equity. The company expects to secure around €800,000 from public bodies such as Enisa to potentially close the round at €2 million.
