Founded in 2024 by ex-Zetwerk executive Shrestha Kukreja, Whizzo positions itself as India’s first CDMO focused on technical textiles, combining materials research, formulation, prototyping, process engineering and commercial-scale manufacturing under one roof. Its products serve infrastructure, agriculture, protective-wear and other industrial applications, tapping into a global technical-textiles market valued at over $250 billion. The company already partners with more than 120 SME and MSME manufacturers and exports to 15+ countries, with exports contributing roughly 40 % of revenue. Approximately 65 employees work at Whizzo, 10 % of whom specialise in polymer science, process engineering and advanced textiles R&D. With fresh capital, Whizzo intends to deepen its materials-science research, create proprietary IP, and scale supply-chain and R&D capabilities across India, Vietnam, China, Bangladesh and Indonesia. The firm also plans to double its export footprint to 30+ countries within the next 12 months and strengthen its science and engineering team, particularly in non-woven technologies and composites.
