WorkStep

530 Howard St #450, San Francisco, CA, 94105, United States

Overview

WorkStep provides hiring and retention software (HIRE and RETAIN) purpose-built for frontline supply-chain workers, enabling enterprises to hire better-fit candidates, engage workers, and act on feedback. Its RETAIN solution helps identify drivers of turnover and the company says it can reduce turnover by up to 33%, saving customers millions in hiring and replacement costs. WorkStep taps a talent network of over a million supply-chain workers and serves hundreds of manufacturing, warehousing, retail distribution, and transportation employers including NFI, Westrock, and Kroger. The platform grew revenue more than 3X year-over-year leading up to the current funding round. WorkStep plans to scale the platform and grow the team to help more hourly workers find rewarding careers. The company operates with a distributed U.S. team and was founded in 2017. WorkStep provides an Employee Lifecycle Management (ELM) software platform with cloud-based Hire and Retain solutions to give HR, recruiting and operations leaders transparency across the employee lifecycle. Founded in 2017 and led by CEO Dan Johnston, the company supports sourcing, screening, onboarding, training, and retention of critical non-exempt talent. Its customers include hundreds of industrial, logistics, transportation and warehousing employers across North America, including regional 3PLs, distribution centers and 16 of the Fortune 500. The platform targets frontline workforce challenges for large supply-chain employers. The company says the new capital will be used to grow the team across engineering, product, sales, customer success and other functions and to continue improving and expanding its technology.
