XUND builds an AI-powered health assistant and four medical modules to digitise the entire patient lifecycle, enabling digital interactions from prevention to diagnosis and monitoring. Its platform uses proprietary NLP models that analyse millions of medical publications and is considered a class IIa medical device under the EU MDR. The company’s B2B customers include health insurers, healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, pharmacies and digital health firms. XUND plans to develop Medical Large Language Models (MedLLMs) in partnership with Thieme Group, using Thieme’s medical content combined with XUND’s NLP technology to deliver personalised medical content. The initial joint prototype with Thieme will be showcased at DMEA. XUND raised an additional €2M in a seed extension, bringing total funding to €8M to support product development and growth. XUND uses AI to analyse and process millions of medical publications and offers a medically approved/certified API that customers can use as a baseline for digital symptom assessment and patient navigation. The platform combines symptoms, personal risk factors, and demographic data to help users understand their symptoms, receive reliable assessments of possible causes, and take appropriate next steps. CEO and co-founder Tamás Petrovics says the company aims to cover the entire patient lifecycle from prevention through diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring. XUND positions itself as an infrastructure provider for digital patient interactions across insurance, pharma, digital and in-person healthcare. Financially, the company recently closed a €6 million seed round — described as one of Austria’s largest seed rounds to date. The new capital will be used to expand operations beyond the DACH region into additional European markets and to enter the U.S. market.
