  • StrongBó Agritech

    Participated · Equity · Jun 2023

StrongBó is an Irish agritech company based in NovaUCD, Dublin, offering a hardware-enabled software solution that captures live weight data from beef cattle. Its system uses a feed platform that encourages animals to step onto scales while they eat, delivering frequent weights and average daily gain metrics to producers. The platform enables remote weighing in the paddock, reducing labor and animal stress and keeping cows on-feed 24/7. StrongBó positions these insights as a way for farmers to manage growth, identify more feed-efficient animals and potentially lower greenhouse-gas emissions. The company has just raised €750,000 to scale operations and further develop its offering.

  • IntelliCulture

    Participated · Seed · Mar 2022

IntelliCulture sells software to growers of high-value crops—vineyards, orchards, and specialty fruits and vegetables—to plan equipment maintenance and labour, track sprays and harvests, and manage safety and regulatory compliance. The platform ingests third-party telematics data, analyzes it, and generates visualizations and insights to help growers optimize operations and reduce losses. The company claims at least one customer saved upwards of $30,000 in annual crop losses and currently serves over 100 customers, some managing up to 40 sites. Vineyards account for roughly 50% of revenue, orchards about 30% (the fastest-growing market), and specialty crops the remaining 20%; up to 90% of business is in the U.S., led by California. IntelliCulture reports average year-over-year revenue growth of between 150% and 200%. The team has more than doubled since 2022 and plans to expand headcount while further developing safety, compliance, and automated recommendation features. IntelliCulture offers an equipment management platform and backwards-compatible IoT devices that feed machinery data into reporting and software to digitize and automate farm management. The product surfaces insights on spray coverage, operational health, labor management and seasonal performance, and customers report efficiency gains in excess of 30% from platform recommendations. The company serves growers across North America, from small family operations to Fortune 500 wineries, and is extending beyond high-value crops via a plug-and-play approach. IntelliCulture plans to scale its team and intends to double headcount within the next year to meet rising inbound demand and product requests. The company also sees predictive algorithms and seasonal-data-driven planning as the future of the platform. Financially, IntelliCulture closed a C$1.7 million seed round to fund this growth and product roadmap.
