- Aya Data
Led · Seed · Jan 2026
Founded in 2021, Aya Data began as a data-annotation company that supplies high-quality labeled images, video, and text for training large language models and computer-vision systems. Leveraging this foundation, the firm now builds proprietary AI products such as AyaGrow, a computer-vision crop and field monitoring platform, and AyaSpeech, an end-to-end speech-to-speech system for local African languages. The company also continues to offer custom AI consultancy services to enterprises. Aya Data’s mission includes upskilling its annotation workforce into higher-value data engineering and data science roles, reflecting a broader commitment to talent development in West Africa. With the latest funding, the startup plans to hire additional engineering talent and expand into new regional markets across the continent. To date, Aya Data has raised a total of $1.8 million, providing capital to accelerate commercial scaling of its flagship products.
- Farm to Feed
Participated · Seed · Nov 2025
Founded in 2021, Farm to Feed runs a business-to-business digital marketplace that aggregates surplus or cosmetically imperfect fruits and vegetables and matches them with commercial buyers. The platform streamlines logistics, manages orders, and facilitates seamless customer interactions, helping reduce post-harvest losses that can reach 40 % of produce in Kenya. By redirecting would-be waste, the company increases farmer earnings, lowers food system emissions, and supplies sustainably sourced produce to buyers. Farm to Feed has registered 6,500 farmers, sold over 2.1 million kilograms of produce, and averted 247 tonnes of CO₂-equivalent emissions while recording 100 % year-on-year growth. With the new capital, the startup plans to deepen its presence in Kenya, enter neighboring African markets, upgrade its digital infrastructure, and launch a semi-processed product line to capture higher-value markets. The firm positions itself as a climate-resilient supply-chain enabler for Sub-Saharan Africa’s food system.

Billboxx provides an integrated billing-to-payment platform that streamlines billing processes, reduces inefficiencies from manual invoicing, and mitigates the impact of deferred payments. The platform offers automated billing and invoicing, secure payment facilitation, and cash-flow financing. Billboxx has strategic integrations with a commercial bank in Nigeria, an African payment gateway, and multiple lending partners to enable payments via bank transfers, cards, and financing options. Its MVP launched in May 2023 and has facilitated over $4 million in invoice payments. The company intends to use the new funding to expand operations and accelerate product development. Co-founders Justus Obaoye and Abdulazeez Ogunjobi lead the business.
