A+E Networks

235 East 45th Street, New York, NY, 10017, USA

Overview

A+E Networks were founded in 1984, with two cable channels when cable was far from a sure bet. Now they’re a global entertainment media company with six original brands: A&E, HISTORY, Lifetime, LMN, FYI and VICELAND. They reach 330 million people worldwide, can be found in eight out of 10 American homes and have 500 million digital users. They are in the business of telling stories. They may be stories about real people or made-up people, but their true talent is imagining, finding, cultivating and bringing to life the most entertaining parts of the human experience.

  • SambaNova Systems

    Participated · Series E · Feb 2026

Founded in 2017 and based in Palo Alto, SambaNova designs and sells AI systems such as the SN40L and the next-generation SN50 for high-performance inference and model serving. The SN40L launched in September 2023 and became available on-premises in November 2023; the SN50 was unveiled in February 2026 and is due to begin shipping to customers in the second half of 2026 with SoftBank as its first deployment partner. SambaNova positions itself as a provider of “premium inference,” claiming the ability to fit multi-trillion-parameter models onto a single rack to run them quickly. The company has commercial wins including JPMorgan Chase, Saudi Aramco, Intel, and other Japanese firms. It has a multi-year partnership with Intel that includes co-developing products and go-to-market efforts, and it says current funding will help scale operations and secure its supply chain to meet strong demand.

  • VERO Leasing

    Participated · Series A · Jun 2021

VERO provides a full-stack risk management platform for multifamily operators, combining identity verification, income verification, credit and criminal checks, document fraud detection, and AI-driven decision support within a single SOC 2-compliant workflow. The platform integrates with property management systems including Yardi, Entrata, RealPage, and Rent Manager. VERO reported supporting leasing decisions on 1,390 properties across 40 states and cited 31,140% growth since 2021. Leadership says the company is targeting profitability by the end of 2026 and that the recent investor backing will enable continued scaling without pursuing additional financing. The company positions itself to help property owners prevent fraud, protect NOI, and speed the leasing process.

  • Ubiquity6

    Participated · Series A · Mar 2018

Ubiquity6 is developing backend tools and consumer-facing app technology to enable cloud-based AR replicas of physical spaces and persistent, multiplayer AR experiences. The company focuses on building 3D mesh maps of public areas to enable instant onboarding and synchronized shared sessions. Its app has not launched at scale; the company ran a one-night public beta at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and offers a beta sign-up on its website. In demos the system supported scenes optimized for up to 100 concurrent users with smooth interaction. Ubiquity6 aims to tie episodic AR experiences to public geographic locations and to move more aggressively into core AR technology. The team is positioning its product as a Snapchat-like consumer interface combined with deeper AR infrastructure work. Ubiquity6 launched a flagship app positioned as a spatial browser and a set of ready-made building blocks for developers to create custom AR content. The startup’s core technology includes a computer-vision engine that can map a room in about 30 seconds and deep-learning algorithms that recognize objects such as walls and furniture. That object-level data lets the platform associate basic physical properties with objects so virtual items interact realistically (for example, a virtual ball bouncing off a wall). Ubiquity6 also supports persistent content that lasts beyond a single session and can be useful both indoors and outdoors. In internal tests the app hosted 10,000 users in a single space. Less than a year old, the company has positioned these technical capabilities as a way to improve graphics fidelity and social/multiplayer multipliers to drive AR adoption.

  • Samba TV

    Participated · Series B · Jun 2017

Samba TV delivers an AI-driven media intelligence platform that unifies measurement and audience targeting across every screen for advertisers and media companies. Its technology ingests first-party data from millions of opted-in connected televisions and billions of web signals in more than 50 countries, creating a real-time view of the full consumer journey. The company is rolling out "Agentic AI" advertising infrastructure meant to replace traditional, fragmented buying approaches with unified, real-time optimization. Recent strategic partnerships position Samba as a measurement provider to global DSPs, SSPs, and major platforms such as TikTok and Snap. With fresh growth capital in place, management plans to accelerate its AI product roadmap, scale international operations, and continue a history of opportunistic technology acquisitions. Financially, Samba TV has obtained access to up to $60 million of non-dilutive debt, giving the firm additional flexibility without issuing equity.

  • BeautyCon

    Participated · Series A · Mar 2017

Beautycon Media began as a Los Angeles event planner that books conferences and festivals linking YouTube stars, their audiences and brands. The company operates Beautycon Festival, curated social channels, a small shop for branded swag and a subscription box, and plans to test its own cosmetics and apparel later this year. CEO Moj Mahdara is hiring a head of content so Beautycon can create more original media and actively develop influencers. With the new financing, the company is also making a substantial push into data and analytics, planning to publish white papers and share learnings with brand partners and the press. Beautycon targets women ages 18–25 and cites estimates of $4 billion in annual cosmetics spending, $5.7 billion in apparel and accessories and $8.2 billion in computers and electronics for that demographic. The company has positioned itself as a creator-centric bridge between Gen Z influencers, their audiences and commercial partners. Founded in 2012, BeautyCon began as live fan-focused events and has expanded into a content platform and membership program. Its core offerings include BeautyCon.com (an online content aggregator), large-scale live experiences, and the BFF Fan Club subscription ($99/year) that delivers curated gift packs and creator-driven perks. The company targets 16-to-24-year-old females and aggregates content from Snapchat, Vine, Instagram and YouTube to reach a tech-savvy audience. BeautyCon runs events in multiple global cities (listed for London, Los Angeles, New York and Dubai) and emphasizes direct creator-to-fan engagement. The company reports click-throughs and media impressions have grown almost 200% year over year, indicating rapid audience and brand engagement growth. Leadership says the next phase is to become a fully integrated global media brand and expand its content and membership offerings. BeautyCon operates a conference-driven media business that books and coordinates events linking YouTube talent, their audiences, and brands targeting millennial women. Its core product is live summits where fans meet creators and brands, supported by content and branded-product initiatives. The company targets women ages 18–25 and cites that demographic’s annual spending potential (about $4.0B on cosmetics, $5.7B on apparel and accessories, and $8.2B on computers and electronics). BeautyCon plans to link fans with products sponsored by YouTube talent, products sold under BeautyCon’s own brand or its contributors’ brands, events, and content under a single umbrella. Its conference business has attracted a network of talent including Bethany Mota, Amanda Steele, and Kandee Johnson, who together command a combined audience of about 22.5 million across social platforms. BeautyCon has content partnerships with Hearst magazines (including Seventeen and Elle) and online properties like WhoWhatWear, Maker Studios, TheZoeReport, and Polished, and in 2013 raised under $2 million in seed financing from a group of entertainment and publishing investors.
