- Schoolytics
Participated · Seed · Feb 2022
Schoolytics provides an all-in-one analytics dashboard with distinct views for students, parents, teachers and administrators to track grades, upcoming assignments, completion rates and classroom- or school-level trends. The product ingests data primarily from Google Classroom to surface insights, flag sudden drops in performance, and automate reports like honor roll or progress summaries. The company is building a built-in messaging system to give teachers a dedicated, safe channel to communicate with students or classes. Schoolytics offers a free plan for teachers (up to 10 Google Classrooms) and a paid plan starting at $10 per month for up to 100 Classrooms, with the expectation that districts will pay at scale. Financially, the company raised a $2.8 million seed round and currently has a team of around 10 people while working with more than 500 schools.
- Pariti
Participated · Seed · Dec 2021
Pariti is a community-led marketplace that connects founders in emerging markets to resources, talent and capital. Its principal product is the Recommendation Engine, which reviews submitted pitches, provides expert feedback and suggests personalized next steps, and includes predictability features tied to a Pariti score. The company reports that firms scoring over 70 on Pariti have a 50% likelihood of connecting with investors, while scores above 78 correlate with an 8x likelihood of raising capital. Pariti also helps talent monetize skills, enables VCs and angels to find and vet deals, and hosts a range of coaching and mentorship interactions. Founded in 2019 and based in Kenya, Pariti says it grew 795% this past year and lists over 880 companies across 42 countries; platform users raised more than $20 million in debt and equity over the past year. The company plans to use new funding to build SaaS workflows to aggregate equity, debt and DeFi fundraising, enhance its talent marketplace, create bespoke investor solutions, hire talent, grow communities and expand into new markets. Pariti operates a three-way marketplace that assesses startups across more than 70 data points, benchmarks them against peers, and matches founders with investors and a global expert community for one-on-one support and freelance hires. The platform provides detailed assessment feedback, NDAs, vetting and an algorithmic deal-matching service to simplify investor outreach and due diligence. Pariti monetizes through investor subscriptions (undisclosed), planned founder subscriptions, and transaction fees for freelance work and fundraising executed on the platform. Since launching in 2019, the company reports over 500 companies onboarded across 42 countries, 100 freelance experts and 60 investors, and five funds using its deal-management operating system. The founders say they have partners across emerging markets including Latin America and India and have expressed interest in the United States.
