Its cloud-based solution provides customer-centric companies visibility into the entire customer experience across social, self-service, live assistance, and retail sales and service touchpoints. Customers include global brands in financial services, insurance, consumer services, health services, and retail industries. On March 10, 2011 the company raised $4.4M in Series C financing. Backers include new investor IT Farm Corporation and current shareholders Apex, ComVentures, Sigma Partner, and CEO David Stamm. The company intends to use the funds to expand its team and continue to develop its software. Enkata Technologies builds performance management software tailored to service organizations, including contact centers and claims operations. Its software has been credited with improving productivity at six of the world’s top 10 health insurers and two of the top financial institutions. The company says the new financing will accelerate domestic and international growth. Enkata was founded in 1999 and is based in San Mateo, California. Prior to this round the company had raised $20 million before recapitalizing in 2006; a 2006 financing totaling $4.88 million was previously reported.
