  • Traxo

    Participated · Series B · Dec 2016

Traxo delivers travel data capture and itinerary intelligence via API-based integrations that let travel managers and travel management companies track total travel spend across booking channels. The platform distributes travel data to popular microservices used across the corporate travel industry. Traxo said the recent investment from Airlines Reporting Corporation will fund continued growth of its sales and marketing teams and additional new product investment. The company emphasized its role in unlocking data silos to improve duty of care and travel visibility for managers, TMCs and suppliers. Traxo is led by Founder and CEO Andres Fabris and has expanded its board with travel-industry veterans to support scaling and product development. Traxo aggregates traveler itinerary data for travel agencies, content providers, corporations, TMCs, and online booking tools. It offers API-based and hosted white-label solutions, private branded email parsing, and data normalization to capture off-platform bookings, enhance policy compliance, and track travel spend. A broad range of clients use Traxo today, including Chrome River, Lufthansa, Travel and Transport, Cornerstone Information Systems, iJet, and InsideFlyer. The company raised a $5.2M Series B led by TripAdvisor to support ongoing technology initiatives and expand sales and marketing. TripAdvisor’s participation, including a board seat, is intended to help scale and enhance Traxo’s data aggregation services in 2017 and beyond. Traxo previously closed a $4.2M Series A in September 2013. Founded in 2009 by travel industry veterans Andres Fabris and Andy Chen and based in Dallas, Traxo aggregates and keeps track of travel reservations booked on the web and provides itineraries, frequent-flyer management, travel-management tools, social travel capabilities and an iOS mobile app. The company integrated KnowDelay to provide weather-based flight cancellation and delay predictions and in September 2012 acquired the assets of GoMiles to enhance its frequent-flyer management capabilities. Traxo also signed a travel expense management partnership with SAP’s Cloud for Travel. In February 2013 the company raised $4.2M in a Series A led by Advantage Capital Partners, with participation from Silver Creek Ventures and Thayer Ventures. As part of the financing Damon Rawie (Advantage Capital Partners), Michael Segrest (Silver Creek Ventures) and Jeffery Jackson (Thayer Ventures) joined Traxo’s board. Traxo intends to use the funds for product development and international expansion.
