  • Agrim Wholesale

    Led · Series B · Aug 2024

Agrim operates a minimalistic marketplace and order-management system that connects manufacturers and offline agri-input retailers, allocating manufacturers to orders and coordinating pickup and last-mile delivery. The platform covers four main categories (seeds, agrochemicals, nutrition and tools) with roughly 30,000 SKUs today and uses pricing-intelligence algorithms to set dynamic prices. Agrim also offers credit to retailers (about 10% currently use it) and plans to expand that to 30% by extending credit terms. The company claims a network of 1,200 manufacturers and 25,000 retailers serving 15 million farmers. Agrim plans to expand its catalog to 150,000 items over three years, add animal feed and irrigation equipment categories, and roll out private-label agri-inputs within six months. The startup was founded in April 2020 and is focused on expanding into southern and western Indian states including Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and parts of Maharashtra. AGRIM operates a B2B digital platform that connects retailers directly with manufacturers and provides solutions for distribution, credit, logistics and marketing. It serves agri-input categories including seeds, fertilizer, crop protection, animal nutrition and farm implements. The company works across 500 districts with over 2,500 manufacturers and 170,000 retailers on the platform, and expects to clock annualised GMV of USD 100 million in 2022. AGRIM reports unit-level profitability and plans to use new capital for talent acquisition, embedded fintech product development and scaling operations. The startup aims to build the largest digital platform for India's USD 50 billion agri-inputs industry. Based in Gurgaon, AGRIM was founded in April 2020 by Mukul Garg and Avi Jain.

  • Arya.ag

    Participated · Series D · Jul 2024

Founded in 2013 in Noida by former ICICI Bank executives, Arya.ag operates a network of about 12,000 leased warehouses that collectively store roughly $3 billion worth of grain each year—around 3% of India’s output. Farmers use the platform to warehouse crops, obtain instant loans against stored grain, and connect with a broad pool of buyers, giving them flexibility to sell when prices are favourable. The company disburses more than ₹110 billion ($1.2 billion) in credit annually and maintains gross NPAs below 0.5% by lending only a portion of grain value and marking collateral to market. Storage contributes 50–55% of revenue, finance 25–30%, and commerce the balance. In FY 2025, Arya.ag generated net revenue of ₹4.5 billion (~$50 million) and profit after tax of ₹340 million, with first-half revenue this year rising 30% year-over-year to ₹3 billion. The platform now serves 850,000–900,000 farmers across 60% of India’s districts and employs more than 1,200 people. Fresh capital will fund additional AI, satellite, and blockchain tools, expand smart farm centres, and reinforce storage and credit infrastructure as the company targets an IPO within 18–20 months and explores software-led expansion in Southeast Asia and Africa.
