- Recess
Participated · Seed · Jun 2026
Recess operates a marketplace designed to simplify discovery and booking of children’s enrichment activities and camps. The company was founded in 2024 by Amy Kiska (CEO) and Molly Morse (COO) and is based in Austin, Texas. Recess launched to address fragmentation in summer camp and activities booking, consolidating options that parents previously managed across multiple sites and spreadsheets. It is currently live in Austin, Dallas, and Houston and plans to expand nationwide. The company announced it raised more than $4 million in Seed venture funding from investors including Baukunst, Wave Capital, Swizzle Ventures, and Laura Modi to support that expansion.
- Obello
Participated · Seed · Nov 2025
Obello develops an AI-powered graphic-design platform that lets design and marketing teams generate on-brand content quickly. Its core engine, the Generative Layout Assistant Model (GLAM), dynamically resizes assets, preserves design hierarchy, and ensures brand consistency for any channel. The company’s roadmap includes enhanced AI image- and video-generation features, funded by its latest capital raise. Obello’s customer roster already spans well-known brands such as eBay, REI, ZenBusiness, OSEA, Ritual, Whisker, Fetch, Stasher, Thistle, Output, and Qonta. Co-founded by Ben Pham and Ollie Ralph, the startup positions itself as a workflow accelerator for both design and marketing teams. Following the new seed financing, Obello’s total funding stands at $9.5 million, providing resources to scale product development and broaden go-to-market efforts.
- Dig Energy
Participated · Seed · Sep 2025
Dig Energy has developed a compact water-jet drilling rig intended to dramatically reduce the upfront cost of shallow geothermal ground loops for heating and cooling. The founders, Dulcie Madden and Thomas Lipoma, spent about five years in stealth refining the design and drilling test holes through various soils and rock types near their New Hampshire offices. The company claims its rig can cut drilling costs by up to 80% and produces straighter holes that can be placed closer together than those from conventional rigs. Dig plans to sell its rigs to drillers and is preparing a slightly larger production version for initial commercial pilots supported by its recent seed round. The startup is positioning its technology to enable broader adoption of geothermal by making rigs small enough to access constrained sites such as backyards and crowded commercial lots.
- Eyebot
Participated · Series A · Aug 2025
Eyebot offers a free, 90-second vision test via kiosks that generate prescriptions reviewed and approved by licensed eye doctors under clinical supervision. Tests that indicate unusual findings prompt referrals for in-person comprehensive exams. Its kiosks are deployed in malls, universities, retail stores, pharmacies, grocery chains, schools and airports, and the company also leases kiosks to optical retailers, eyewear brands, and independent practices. Since its seed round, Eyebot has conducted more than 45,000 free vision tests and is on track to deliver over half a million annually; the company says revenue is scaling and the team has doubled. Eyebot was founded in 2021 and is based in Boston. With the new funding, the company plans to scale kiosk deployment and expand its team across product, clinical operations, and commercial growth. Eyebot builds five-foot, self-serve vision-testing kiosks that use computer vision to automatically scan eyes and extract eyeglass or contact lens prescriptions in roughly 90 seconds. Tests are finalized by teledoctors within 24 hours; the technology is registered with the FDA. Consumers pay $30 for an exam, or receive the exam free if they purchase glasses from an Eyebot partner brand; Eyebot plans to earn commissions and rent terminals to eyewear merchants. The kiosks will be placed in shopping centers, grocery stores and pharmacies, and the company plans an initial rollout in New England starting in October. Eyebot cannot perform initial contact-lens fittings but can update existing prescriptions. The company is finalizing partnership agreements with large eyeglass and contact-lens merchants and intends to use new capital to expand to other geographies.
- GOB
Led · Seed · Oct 2024
GOB is a San Francisco-based startup that has launched compostable earplugs made entirely from mycelium, the root structure of mushrooms. The earplugs are produced in partnership with mycelium technology company Ecovative using agricultural byproducts formed into shape by robotic systems. GOB's plugs are hypoallergenic, USDA-certified 100% biobased, home-compostable, contain no microplastics, and are designed to provide balanced sound absorption without the muffling common to PVC foam earplugs. The company says the earplugs break down into nutrients that feed the soil, positioning the product as a regenerative alternative to petroleum-based earplugs. GOB has been supported by $1.2 million in pre-seed funding and has secured music and sports industry partnerships, including work with Billie Eilish's tour operations and Formula 1. The startup is exploring further partnerships in hospitality, aviation, and motorsports, and has opened preorders for its mycelium earplugs. Ecovative recently opened access to a European patent for its MycoComposite materials after a $30M Series E, broadening access to the underlying mycelium technology.
