Pascal develops a novel class of solid refrigerants and systems for heat pumps, air conditioners and refrigeration that operate at much lower pressures than prior solid‑refrigerant approaches. The company says the platform can cut energy consumption by 40%–60% compared with commercial alternatives and targets separations including methane, hydrogen, oxygen, biogas upgrading, and CO2 removal. Osmoses positions its technology as a lower-cost, higher-performance alternative to thermal separation processes with applications across power generation and materials manufacturing. The team plans to use initial funding to hire technical and operations staff, advance platform development, scale manufacturing, and pursue initial commercial partnerships. Axoft develops implantable brain-computer interfaces (iBCIs) built from its proprietary bio-inspired Fleuron™ material, designed to improve biocompatibility and neural data quality. Fleuron is reported to be up to 10,000x softer than polyimide, offers greater region access and higher sensor/stimulator density per thread, and reduces signal attenuation versus standard flexible probes. The company has demonstrated first-in-human implants in more than 11 patients and completed a study at The Panama Clinic with four patients undergoing tumor resection, recording cortical and subcortical activity.
