Reyedar develops a platform that combines eye-tracking sensors with deep learning models to translate eye movement into actionable medical insights for early detection of age-related degenerative diseases. The technology targets early symptoms of conditions including glaucoma, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis, with the aim of improving treatment outcomes and reducing healthcare costs. Reyedar is a spin-out from the Ophthalmology Department of the University Medical Center Groningen. With the newly secured funding, the company plans to grow its team, launch its first product in the eye care market, and expand its product offering. Management frames the product as a way to reduce waiting lists in the health sector and enable healthier ageing for millions of people. The company has secured €3 million to commercialise its screening technology and advance go-to-market activities.
