- Carbeau
Participated · Equity · Jul 2026
Carbeau is the spun-out electrochemical platform formerly known as Volta Technology within Avantium, focused on converting CO₂ using electricity into chemical building blocks and materials. The company’s platform uses electrons, preferably from renewable electricity, to transform CO₂ from a waste emission into feedstock for products designed to have limited to negative carbon emissions. Initial product targets include glycolic acid for the personal care market and PLGA (polylactic-co-glycolic acid), a compostable plastic with strong barrier properties and marine degradability. Carbeau is headquartered at Amsterdam Science Park and is planning a pilot plant in Delfzijl to support scale-up in a region with strong CCU and industrial infrastructure. The company is led by a management team with experience in technology development, scale-up and commercialization and entered the market with €35.2 million of backing from strategic and financial partners to accelerate commercialization.
- Primio
Participated · Equity · Mar 2026
Primio has built a mobile-first learning and work platform designed for the many practically schooled employees and informal caregivers who support the Dutch elderly-care system. The app hosts more than 80 visual, bite-sized trainings—co-created with care organisations—covering topics such as early-warning signs, ergonomic working and mental resilience. Lessons last only a few minutes, fit easily into the workday and aim to drive measurable behavioural change; the company now issues over 750 certificates per week, cuts learning time by 75 %, and reports 82 % fewer physical and mental complaints after three months of ergonomic training. User satisfaction scores average 4.3/5 across more than 107,000 evaluations, and participants report a 40 % increase in perceived support. Primio’s founders aim to reach 100 million certificates in the Netherlands and internationally, thereby easing pressure on district nursing and nursing-home care. The freshly raised capital will fund further product development and expansion to additional Dutch care organisations. Prior backers include Healthy.Capital, though historic round sizes were not disclosed.
- Swipe4Work
Led · Equity · Dec 2025
Swipe4Work operates a low-threshold vacancy app that pairs (latent) job seekers with employers via a data-driven matching algorithm focused on skills and work experience rather than titles or CVs. The Dutch startup has onboarded hundreds of companies—including BAM, Fudura, Kentalis and Belsimpel—and the app has been downloaded nearly 100,000 times. Each week the platform facilitates hundreds of matches, supported by an 11-person team. With its recent funding, the company plans to incorporate an AI layer that adds behavioural and personalisation signals to create what it calls “the best matching algorithm in Europe.” The capital will also finance expansion of sales and customer-success teams, brand-building efforts, and niche campaigns for hard-to-fill sectors such as ICT, engineering, finance and healthcare. Over the next two years Swipe4Work intends to scale beyond the Netherlands into multiple European markets. Previous backers include regional investor NOM and G-Force Capital, who participated in an earlier 2023 round.
- GolfN
Participated · Seed · Jun 2024
GolfN provides a mobile app that layers Web3 gamification onto the real-world game of golf, serving as a digital caddie and social platform. The platform uses tokenization and digital collectible golf clubs—minted as NFTs on the Solana network—to let members equip clubs, earn rewards during rounds, track side games, and organize leagues. In March 2024 GolfN released its Genesis Collection of NFT Golf Clubs on Solana; the mint sold out in under an hour on Tensor Launchpad. For players who missed the mint, the company will offer monthly membership subscriptions with rental NFT clubs made available by collectors. The mobile application is due out in open beta later this year, and the company plans to use recent funding to develop and scale the app, community, and ecosystem. Jared Phillips is CEO and co-founder.
- BioBTX
Participated · Equity · Jun 2024
BioBTX has developed an integrated catalytic pyrolysis process (ICCP Technology) to produce renewable aromatics (benzene, toluene, xylene) from plastic waste and biomass. The company plans to build and launch the PETRA Circular Chemicals Plant in Delfzijl to scale the technology and convert 20,000 tons of plastic waste into renewable BTX annually. BioBTX says this will be the world’s first large‑scale plant to make aromatics from plastic waste and plants. The technology is positioned to replace fossil resources for applications including foams, coatings, PET bottles, batteries and pharmaceuticals. The recent financing package of over €80M will fund the plant build and initial commercial launch, with additional public grants and regional support included. BioBTX’s offices are located in Groningen and the company intends to expand globally once production is proven.
