Its megakaryocyte-derived vesicle (MV) platform is designed to safely and precisely carry complex genetic cargos directly to bone marrow, overcoming the immunogenicity and payload limits of viral and synthetic vectors. The company’s initial pipeline targets Fanconi anemia and other rare hematological disorders, while longer-term plans include in vivo CAR-T and broader immune-cell engineering applications. Recent funding activity has provided meaningful runway: $8 million in Series Seed 2 equity coupled with an $8.4 million ARPA-H contract brought total seed-stage capital raised in late 2025 to $16.4 million. STRM.BIO intends to use the proceeds to complete platform validation, advance preclinical programs toward the clinic, and prepare for a forthcoming Series A. Financially, xCures has raised more than $76 million in total funding following the $46 million Series B. The company plans to use the new capital to accelerate product development, expand its team, and scale adoption across provider, value-based care, diagnostics lab, and consumer health customers.
