Founded in 2015, the company employs over 300 people and has hosted more than 300,000 guests. Management says it doubled revenue during the pandemic driven by high repeat bookings and referrals. The firm positions itself as a category leader in luxury villa getaways and aims to become a trusted 'home away from home' for Indian travelers. StayVista intends to use the fresh capital to expand its footprint, build the team, strengthen its brand, and develop its technology infrastructure. Investors highlighted the company's capital-efficient growth, market leadership, and healthy operating margins in certain markets. Vista Rooms operates as a full-stack hospitality brand that manages holiday homes and villas, serving both property owners and travelers. The company takes over property maintenance and guest service for supply-side owners while marketing locations to demand-side travelers. It was set up in 2015 by Pranav Maheshwari, Ankita Sheth and Amit Damani and is operated by Stay Vista Pvt. Ltd. The startup has raised Rs 10 crore (about $1.37 million) in the latest funding round. Vista Rooms will use the capital to launch new locations under its management, build out its team, enhance its technological infrastructure, and increase brand awareness. The company cited a secular shift in traveler behavior toward homestays, driven by WFH and online schooling, as a growth tailwind.
