Founded in 2018 and based on the CNRS campus in Montpellier, Womed develops intravaginal/intrauterine polymer-based treatments for women's health. Its FDA-approved device Womed Leaf is intended to prevent intrauterine adhesions and the company reports about 2,000 women helped to date with a target of 95,000 women treated per year by 2028. Eynia is an investigational, gynecologist-administered biodegradable polymer treatment for fibroids that blocks progesterone for three months before degrading, and is planned to enter phase II trials. Womed says it aims to expand into treatments for acute bleeding and endometriosis. The company employs ten people and works with a similar number of consultants, including Dr André Ulmann. Financially, Womed recently raised €5 million from institutional investors, is running €1 million in public crowdfunding, and had previously raised €6 million in 2024.

Wandercraft develops AI-powered, self-balancing exoskeletons and autonomous humanoid robots for rehabilitation, personal mobility, and industrial use. Its flagship rehabilitation system, Atalante X, is deployed in over 100 rehabilitation centres across four continents and helps users take more than a million steps each month. The company is commercializing Eve, a personal exoskeleton that enables wheelchair users to stand and walk, and is developing the Calvin line of humanoid robots for physically demanding tasks and caregiver support. Wandercraft refines its systems with a neural network trained on billions of steps, billions of simulations, and tens of millions of real-world steps, and holds more than 30 patents. The company says it will bring Eve to market as early as 2026, expand clinical adoption of Atalante X, and develop and deploy the Calvin-40 humanoid robot. A strategic partnership with Renault aims to scale production and positions Renault as a commercial partner and first customer for the Calvin-40. Wandercraft develops Atalante, a 12-degrees-of-freedom, self-balancing robotic exoskeleton that uses walking algorithms to restore gait for wheelchair users. The company was founded in 2012 and is Paris-based. Its product strategy focuses squarely on user mobility and rehabilitation care rather than industrial or military applications. Wandercraft partners with hospitals and healthcare providers to deploy its technology in clinical and therapeutic settings. The firm announced plans to expand Atalante’s reach into the United States following its latest financing. Financially, the company has been capital-intensive: prior to the round it had raised $30.5M to date, and it is now pursuing commercialization and development with new investor support.

Oso-AI has developed a non-invasive Ambient Intelligence product called Augmented Ear: a box with microphones and sensors plus algorithms that analyze suspicious sounds in real time and link to a smartphone or tablet app for care staff. The system is trained on several million sound samples and can classify more than 150 classes of sounds (falls, breathing, vomiting, footsteps, speech, intrusions, etc.). The solution is positioned to reduce caregiver workload and rapidly identify situations requiring intervention while respecting patient-caregiver confidentiality. Devices have been co-developed in real-life conditions since 2018 with partners including La Croix Rouge, Brest University Hospital and Vyv3 Handicap, and deployed in around 20 institutions and in private-home experiments. The company currently employs 30 people. It plans to use the Series A proceeds to support growth and meet demand from medical and social establishments for its Ambient Intelligence solution.

Avicenna.AI offers a deep-learning radiology screening platform trained on CT imagery to help triage patients by identifying, detecting and quantifying critical pathologies. The product has two variants: one for brain trauma and stroke-risk assessment and another for chest-symptom evaluation. Diabeloop develops DBLG1, a closed-loop diabetes management system that integrates a continuous glucose sensor, an insulin pump and AI algorithms to automate insulin delivery for people with type 1 and highly unstable type 1 diabetes. The system’s algorithms analyze real-time glucose data and deliver personalized insulin doses based on patient parameters and entered information. DBLG1 completed clinical trials in 2017 and received CE marking in 2018. The solution is in use by more than 10,000 patients and has been deployed in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the Netherlands. With a new €15 million funding round, the company intends to accelerate revenue growth of its closed-loop system and prepare the launch of DBLG2, an algorithm integrated into a smartphone app for Android and iOS. The company was founded in 2015 by Guillaume Charpentier and Erik Huneker and has appointed François Miceli as President and CEO. Diabeloop builds machine-learning software and CE-marked closed-loop systems (DBLG1 and DBL-hu) that connect continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps to automate insulin delivery in real time. Its algorithms personalize therapy, reducing patient decision burden and aiming to improve clinical outcomes and quality of life. The company has commercially launched two products in Europe and was rapidly approaching 10,000 equipped patients one year after launch. The business plans to use new funding to accelerate commercial roll-out, international expansion and continued product development. Diabeloop is a Grenoble-based medical-technology spin-off founded in 2015 that develops the DBLG1, a hybrid closed-loop system for autonomous type 1 diabetes management.
