  • En Carta Diagnostics

    Participated · Equity · Jul 2026

Founded in 2022 by Guillaume Horreard and Margot Karlikow, En Carta Diagnostics is developing a rapid point-of-need molecular diagnostic platform in an affordable cassette format that the company says delivers laboratory-level PCR precision in about 30 minutes. The technology uses aptamers to bind targets with high affinity and specificity and is positioned to detect indications across genetic, pathogenic and veterinary applications. En Carta has achieved first-in-human use and is running two clinical trials for its flagship early Lyme disease test in Boston and Bialystok, and in January 2026 received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation. The company has a co-development and commercialisation agreement with AAZ totaling a €13 million commercial partnership to bring rapid molecular tests for chlamydia and gonorrhea to market with committed volumes over five years. En Carta plans to industrialise via a fabless model with Circum Medical for cost-efficient, high-volume manufacturing and to expand from Lyme detection into STI screening while pursuing regulatory approvals in Europe and the US.

  • Exwayz

    Led · Equity · Nov 2025

Founded in 2021 by Hassan Bouchiba, Mathias Corsia and Antoine Plat, Exwayz provides 3D perception and navigation software for autonomous systems operating in GPS-challenged environments such as ports, tunnels and dense cities. Its core product, Exwayz SLAM, delivers real-time mapping and localisation from any LiDAR sensor, achieving centimetre-level precision that has been validated over thousands of commercial operating hours. The technology is already deployed on five continents: Embotech uses it to guide autonomous trucks in logistics hubs, with 30 such trucks slated for the Port of Rotterdam in 2026, while Cyvl.ai relies on Exwayz to create high-precision road maps for 200+ municipalities in the United States. Recognised as a Station F Future 40 startup and carrying BPI Deeptech certification, the company is backed by the 21st Deeptech Accelerator at Station F. With fresh capital, Exwayz plans to expand its algorithms, 3D vision and data-science teams, enhance its SLAM performance, and accelerate industrial and commercial roll-outs through strategic partnerships. The firm ultimately aims to make high-accuracy 3D localisation accessible to every autonomous-system manufacturer, unlocking new applications across industry, mobility, logistics and safety.

  • Loewi

    Participated · Seed · May 2023

Loewi is a Paris-based startup that refurbishes electric bikes, giving used bikes a second life and offering a lower-priced green transport alternative. It builds distribution channels via partnerships with large retailers, manufacturers, and marketplaces and sells through partners such as Decathlon, BackMarket, and Alltricks. The company points to a growing supply opportunity—Europeans are expected to buy an extra 10 million e-bikes per year by 2030, creating an annual market volume of 30 million units—that should feed demand for refurbishing. Loewi emphasizes quality, customer relationship, and compliance with ethical and ecological standards as core commercial principles. The startup announced a €1 million pre-seed funding round from Antler France, Satgana, the Centrale-Supélec 21st fund, and the Caméléon Invest Family Office. Proceeds will be used to raise reconditioning capacity to 300 reconditioned bikes per month in 2023 and to accelerate development and deployment of its technological tools across the value chain.

  • Umiami

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2021

Umiami develops plant-based meat alternatives built around its 'umisation' texturising technology. The company says its products contain under 10 ingredients and are free of texturising agents or controversial additives. It has opened a new factory in Alsace with a capacity of 7,500 tons per production line and plans to grow output to 20,000 tons over time. Umiami is expanding into the US and has appointed John Hatto as Managing Director for North America. The business raised an additional €32.5M as a Series A top-up, bringing the Series A to €59M and total funding to over €100M. The Alsace project and broader industrialisation are supported by the French government's 'France 2030' plan, the BPI (via the SPI fund) and other investors. Umiami has developed a proprietary technology to produce what it says are the world’s first vegan whole‑cuts, including a plant‑based chicken breast made from 100% plant proteins. After two years of R&D the company finalized its first whole chicken breast and reports clients in Northern Europe, North America and South East Asia. Umiami follows a clean‑label approach with products carrying a 'B' Nutri‑Score and reports lower environmental impacts versus conventional meat (25% less energy, 50% less water and land, and roughly half the greenhouse‑gas emissions). The company announced an industrial R&D center near Paris opening in May 2022 to accelerate scale‑up and portfolio expansion. Umiami plans to open a dedicated production plant by 2023 that it says could create up to 200 jobs and produce 15,000 tons of alternative meat per year for global food manufacturing and foodservice customers. It has also announced a partnership with vertically integrated plant‑based marketplace Above Food. Umiami develops a novel manufacturing process that creates thick, whole-piece plant-based meats and fish, allowing control of fiber thickness and direction. Its initial product range includes chicken breasts, cod and nuggets. The company was launched in May 2020 by Tristan Maurel, Martin Habfast and Hugo Dupuis with support from AgroParisTech and the Technical University of Munich. Umiami plans to use the new funds to build a pilot production unit in the Paris region and to continue R&D to expand its product range. The pilot site is slated to start in early 2022 with a capacity of 100 tons per year. Umiami was one of five winners of the Nutrition Lab program in December 2020.
