  • Augmodo

    Participated · Series A · Jul 2025

Augmodo develops "physical AI" by capturing egocentric data to let computers see the world through a worker's eyes and assist in real time. The company's core capability is understanding a person, a hand, an object, and the surrounding 3D space to enable tasks across physical work. Augmodo positions that the same intelligence can power order fulfillment in ecommerce as well as wrench-handling on factory floors. Following recent traction, Augmodo raised $21M at a $350M valuation to scale into new verticals including warehousing, auditing, maintenance, manufacturing, and automotive. The company said it is scaling fast and hiring aggressively to execute on that roadmap. The article did not provide revenue, user, or other financial metrics.

  • StayTuned

    Participated · Equity · Apr 2023

Staytuned Digital builds a software suite for e-commerce brands focused on the Shopify ecosystem, aiming to be the "Salesforce suite for e-commerce stores." The company acquires and develops e-commerce applications and has purchased seven apps to date. It works with more than 28,000 customers and reported being EBITDA positive in the fourth quarter. Staytuned pivoted from a video-focused product early in its history and subsequently brought on new investors and team members, including Lauralynn Drury joining the founding team. Future plans include acquiring additional apps from a long pipeline, hiring more engineers, and scaling the product suite and go-to-market efforts. The company emphasizes high-margin software growth as the rationale for building a large hub of merchant-facing tools. StayTuned Digital offers a platform that optimizes video for each destination, pushes content to multiple platforms, and measures performance to inform further optimization. The company is officially unveiling its product while targeting publishers, digital-native companies, e-commerce retailers, brands, and eventually small businesses. StayTuned was founded by CEO Serge Kassardjian (formerly global head of media app business development for Google Play) and Randy Jimenez (previously CTO at SinglePlatform). The founders built the product to address fragmentation and frequent format changes across platforms so publishers needn’t manage each one individually. StayTuned positions itself as providing ubiquity to where audiences are rather than forcing publishers to abandon major platforms. Financially, the company has raised $2.5 million in funding and is part of the current GCT Startup-in-Residence program.

  • Bounty

    Participated · Seed · Aug 2022

Bounty operates a beta platform that lets everyday TikTok users sign up by phone, buy eligible products from partner brands, accept a “Bounty” via text, and get paid when their tagged video is detected and tracked. Creators earn for organic views in the first 48 hours—up to $10 per 1,000 views—with the price per view decreasing as total views rise; creators keep 100% of their earnings. Brands pay Bounty a monthly fee that starts at $99, and can license creator videos for Spark Ads or other paid marketing; creators grant Bounty a sublicenseable license while retaining rights to their content. During beta Bounty worked with about 14,000 creators, reports top creators made around $3,000 per month, and cites one creator earning $560 from a single video and over $3,000 total; the company currently works with 30 brands and has a waitlist of 750+ brands. Bounty launched beta in March, is adding roughly 1,000 creator sign-ups per week, and plans to expand to Instagram Reels within 12 months with YouTube Shorts and other platforms considered later.

  • Promoted.ai

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2022

Promoted.ai builds a real-time streaming data and ML infrastructure that measures and optimizes search, feed, ads and promotions together for large marketplaces and e-commerce apps. The company aggregates and joins client data in real time, predicts conversions and clicks, and creates a “unified currency” to optimize trade-offs between user experience, seller experience, and marketplace profitability. Promoted positions its product as a replacement for siloed teams and drop-in vendors, enabling engineering-led solutions and quicker ROI. The startup says its tools drive double-digit conversion increases for customers. The latest funds will be used to further develop the platform and hire additional engineers to scale the team. Founders Andrew and Dan met at Pinterest, per the company commentary. Promoted.ai builds a marketplace search optimization platform that predicts engagement and purchase likelihood for every item in search to match buyers with sellers. The product combines data infrastructure and end-to-end optimization to fairly allocate attention between large and small sellers while factoring in user satisfaction. Founded by former Pinterest engineers Andrew Yates and Dan Hill and launched in 2020, the Bay Area startup was part of Y Combinator’s recent winter cohort. Promoted.ai is working with marketplace apps including Hipcamp and Snackpass; Hipcamp saw total booking rate increase by over 7% after using the product. The company is targeting enterprise deals and plans to focus next on a launch-manager/ads-manager-like tool for listings. It recently secured $2 million in funding and will use the capital primarily for hiring.

  • Flyp

    Participated · Equity · May 2022

Flyp’s core product is an algorithmic matching platform that pairs consumers, liquidation companies, or donation centers with power resellers to offload used goods. Users list items on Flyp’s app, are matched with an appropriate reseller, agree on a commission split, and Flyp takes a 5% cut while handling logistics. The company also offers a free automation product built specifically for resellers to manage and market listings across multiple marketplaces. Flyp cites a large addressable market of roughly 350,000 U.S. power sellers and aims to convert part-time sellers into full-timers while onboarding new resellers. The platform processed $7 million worth of inventory in March 2022 (up from about $1.7 million the prior year) and sees over $1 million in inventory coming in each month. Flyp was founded by James Kawas and Dani Arnaout. Flyp has built what it calls the largest decentralized consignment marketplace in the world, enabling thousands of individual resellers to grow and sustain their businesses from home. The company says the new funding will allow it to expand offerings to empower the wider reseller community. Flyp plans to expand its consignment marketplace and develop new software tools to help small resellers automate and streamline at-home resale operations. The company reports independent resellers have made more than $1,000,000 in secondhand sales during the pandemic. CEO James Kawas has framed Flyp’s mission around supporting the secondhand gig economy—predominantly women resellers—and the firm says it is committed to that community. Flyp is based in San Francisco.
