- Great Question
Participated · Series A · Nov 2025
Founded in 2020 by Australian entrepreneur Ned Dwyer, Great Question offers software that streamlines every step of customer research—from recruiting participants to running interviews and analysing results. Its platform is already used by Fortune 100 enterprises such as ServiceNow and Intuit, along with high-growth firms like Canva, Brex and Gusto. The company is layering in artificial-intelligence capabilities that can recruit participants in about 20 minutes, conduct up to 1,000 concurrent AI-moderated sessions, and cut end-to-end research cycles from eight weeks to just hours. New funding will support go-to-market expansion and continued AI development. Great Question is also hiring product and engineering talent in Melbourne and Brisbane, deepening its Australian footprint while operating from its San Francisco headquarters. To date, the $20 million Series A is its largest financing round, underscoring growing investor confidence in its customer-research-as-a-service model.
- Taxo
Led · Seed · Mar 2025
Taxo provides an app clinicians use to automate administrative workflows including prior authorizations, patient intake, and medical billing. Its core technical differentiator is an AI "reasoning engine" that transparently explains decision processes to reduce hallucinations and build trust with doctors. The company built that engine by adding a healthcare-specific layer on top of existing models like OpenAI's and Anthropic's, training on hard-to-access healthcare data. According to founder Ahmed Kerwan, the system increases prior-authorization approval rates to 98%, compared with an industry average of about 80%. Founded last year and based in San Francisco, Taxo passed $1 million ARR six months after launch and now serves about 15 customers, including clinics and government providers. Investor interest suggests potential for broader adoption of its reasoning approach beyond foundational AI companies.
- Highnote
Participated · Equity · Oct 2024
Highnote provides a streamlined workflow that enables creators to collaborate on audio from demo to distribution, make comments, exchange ideas, and organize notes on any audio file. The platform centralizes communication, reduces rounds of revisions, and aims to scale to projects of any size. Highnote recently launched a Dropbox integration allowing users to open audio files from Dropbox directly in Highnote for lossless playback, review, and notes, with a full 2-way integration planned for November. The company plans to use new funding to expand its development efforts and explore AI-powered features. Targeted AI initiatives include comment summarization, tone analysis, and creative recommendations integrated into editing software to improve creators' workflows. Jordan Bradley is CEO and co-founder. Highnote launched publicly as a collaboration platform for musicians, podcasters and other creators to upload audio into private "Spaces" and add time-specific written and voice notes, polls and version management. The product combines audio playback with interactive, time-aligned annotation cards so comments flow over the track as it plays. Creators invite collaborators to a Space to chat, manage versions, and share private links with fans, producers, engineers and A&R. The platform is free, requires no download, is available on any device, and has been in beta for a year with a few dozen users on its waitlist. Highnote plans to introduce a SaaS subscription model and a "Highnote for Teams" product for larger studios and record labels. Financially, the company closed a $1.7 million pre-seed round to support building and scaling the product.
