Pieces Technologies builds cloud-based clinical generative AI and ensemble-AI solutions to support inpatient care teams and streamline clinician workflows. Led by CEO Ruben Amarasingham, Pieces specializes in generating inpatient clinical summaries and other clinician-facing tools for health systems. As of September 10, 2024, the company has generated more than 5.4 million inpatient clinical summaries across multiple health system clients. The Pieces™ platform was incubated at the Parkland Center for Clinical Innovation, and Parkland has reported benefits from its use. Children’s Health is working with Pieces to advance and co-develop technology for earlier interventions in pediatric chronic conditions. Founder and CEO Ruben Amarasingham, M.D., leads the company as it readies for broader marketplace expansion following its Series A financing.

GoNoodle delivers three-to-five minute movement videos and games that turn screen time into active time, applying research linking physical activity to improved health and learning. Teachers use GoNoodle to transition between subjects, energize classrooms, and some videos incorporate math, language arts and science; parents use it at home. Launched in August 2013, GoNoodle reports 10 million kids engaged per month, presence in 75% of U.S. public elementary schools, nearly 500,000 teachers actively using it, nearly 1 million families signed up, users in all 50 states and 168 countries, and 3 billion minutes of physical activity generated in the past year. The company recently released an Apple TV app. GoNoodle says it will use new funding to expand reach, sales and marketing, and to accelerate product innovation at school and home, with Children's Health expanding sponsorship to more Texas schools in 2016. Sponsors such as Children's Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, and Passport Health Plan underwrite GoNoodle's premium offering.
