  FAIR develops collaborative robots and intelligent manufacturing solutions with full-stack in-house development of core components such as controllers, encoders, servo drives, harmonic reducers, servo motors and brakes.   BCIFlex (also referred to as Zhiran Medical in the source article) focuses exclusively on invasive brain–computer interface (BCI) technology that implants stretchable, flexible electrodes directly into the cerebral cortex. Its core ‘high-throughput, stretchable flexible electrode’ platform is designed to record and write neural signals with high temporal and spatial resolution while minimizing long-term tissue damage. Building on this hardware, the company has produced a wireless invasive BCI system and is concurrently advancing proprietary neuron chips, decoding algorithms, and an electrode-implantation robot. BCIFlex has established nearly 2,000 m² of micro- and nanofabrication space plus a GMP-standard assembly line to retain full control over clinical-grade manufacturing. The firm completed clinical implantation of >100-channel invasive BCI products in 2025, preliminarily confirming safety and efficacy, and plans to launch large-scale registration clinical trials in 2026. Government policy support for BCI in China and new medical reimbursement codes are expected to accelerate adoption of the company’s technology. Financially, BCIFlex has attracted back-to-back nine-figure Series A and A+ rounds within six months, underscoring investor confidence in its technical depth and commercialization roadmap.
