Metalshub is a Düsseldorf-based digital trading and price-intelligence platform that digitizes commercial trading of raw metals. The company offers a consumer-grade procurement marketplace and transaction-based price intelligence, publishing indices for products such as ferrochrome, ferrovanadium, and ferrosilicon. Its platform aims to replace email and spreadsheet-based trading, modernizing industrial supply-chain procurement. Metalshub promotes supply-chain transparency to help customers meet sustainability goals and address CO2 accountability in the steel industry. The platform counts over 1,100 companies active, including Outokumpu, Saarstahl, Dillinger and Swiss Steel Group, and has recorded over $750 million in traded volume since its 2017 launch. In 2018 the platform achieved a Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) of €23 million and expects to exceed €70 million in GMV in the current year. The company plans to add paid market information and statistics next year and aims to continue growing team, customers and product to become a "tool of choice" for raw-material trading.
