NavLive is a UK reality-capture technology company spun out of robotics research at the University of Oxford. Its core product is a handheld LiDAR scanner that fuses edge-based AI with SLAM to deliver instant 2D and 3D site data, RICS-grade 1:100 surveys, and direct scan-to-BIM outputs. The system has already been deployed on live projects by engineering and construction firms such as Jacobs, AtkinsRéalis and Mace. NavLive employs 15 people and operates from offices in London and Oxford under CEO Chris Davison and CTO Dr. David Wisth. The company recently closed a £3.3 million seed round and previously secured a £700,000 Innovate UK grant, providing capital to scale its team and accelerate product development. With the new funding, NavLive plans to expand adoption of its technology across the wider built-environment sector.
- Sunsave

Sunsave offers Sunsave Plus, a £0-upfront solar subscription that designs, supplies, finances and installs tailored solar and battery systems while giving customers ownership from day one and 20 years of monitoring, maintenance, replacement parts and insurance. The subscription removes high upfront costs and delivers immediate bill savings, with households saving over £685 a year on average. Since launching Sunsave Plus in January 2024 the company has seen monthly growth exceed 32%. Sunsave was founded in 2022 by Oxford alumni Alick Dru and Ben Graves and aims to scale rooftop solar installations across England and Wales. The company’s long-term plan is to become an all-in-one home energy platform, expanding into services such as EV chargers, heat pumps and smart software to optimise tariffs and support grid balancing. The business raised significant capital to fund its rollout and support product expansion. Sunsave provides solar panels and batteries on a subscription model authorized by the UK Financial Conduct Authority, enabling customers to avoid upfront lump-sum payments while taking ownership of the system. The offering includes flexible, loan-based subscriptions with no early repayment fees or penalties. The company is Oxford-based and secured regulatory approval that could pave the way for wider adoption of subscription solar in the U.K. Sunsave has raised a £5.4 million seed round led by impact VC Norrsken and has attracted previous backers including IPGL, Plug and Play and several angel investors. In its 18 months of operation the startup has raised £9.2 million in total. The model could support future expansion into micro-grids and selling energy back to larger suppliers. Sunsave is positioned as part of a broader trend of subscription solar seen in markets like Germany, Spain and the U.S.
